BBC Strictly: Will Mellor dedicates emotional dance to late father
Be sure to come dance returned to our screens tonight to see actor Will Mellor dedicating his performance to his father and family.
Mellor and Nancy waltzed to the Commodores’ Three Times A Lady, a song his father used to sing to his mother.
In the VT before the couple’s appearance, Will called his mother and she explained that Will had lost his father during the pandemic after he got sick.
Will struggled to speak after his performance as he was overcome with emotion.

Mellor is joined by an actress and a TV presenter Kym Swamp who also dedicated her performance this week to a loved one.
Marsh gave birth to her infant son, who was born prematurely, and she dedicated the dance to those who have or are going through a similar struggle.

Both Will and his professional dance partner Nancy were in tears as they walked to the judges after the dance.
The pair will be hoping his week eight performance will be enough to secure a spot on the Blackpool Tower dance floor next week.
