Beachgoers walked away in shock after discovering dog surfing

The incredible footage was captured by Kerryn Groves of Lindfield.

The 44-year-old said she was stunned to see the dog surfing and dismounting up the coast before being greeted by its owner on the beach.

“I can definitely say he was better than a lot of human surfers I’ve seen,” she said.

“I’m a huge dog lover so I sat there for ages watching the pooch and his owner – how loving every minute was.

“Surfing was definitely something the dog’s owner taught him, and they look like they do it a lot.”

Kerryn said the dog’s owner used the board to surf back out to sea with the dog swimming after him before hopping back on board for another surf.

Kerryn posted the video on social media, which has since received thousands of views and comments from impressed members of the public.
