Belfast wins Best Film at Movies for Grown-ups Awards

Belfast has won AARP Magazine’s Best Picture at the Movies for Grown-ups Awards.

ir Kenneth Branagh’s semi-autobiographical film took top honors at the awards ceremony, which champions films for viewers over 50.

The ceremony endorses “the fight against ageism in the industry and the promotion of films that resonate with mature viewers.”

Apple TV’s Richmond-based comedy series Ted Lasso, starring Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein and Hannah Waddingham, won Best TV Series.

The winners were announced Friday during a virtual event broadcast on PBS and moderated by Alan Cumming.
