Wearing masks is still recommended, but only mandatory for people aged 12 and over in healthcare facilities and on public transport. Masks are no longer compulsory in schools.
The Belgian Covid Safe Ticket – which provides proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative test – is no longer needed in hospitality or to attend events.
From March 11th, Belgium’s travel rules will also change. In particular, travelers coming to Belgium only need to fill out a Passenger Locator Form if they are arriving from a country not included in the so-called White list from countries considered safe.
The country will also end its Federal phase of crisis management next week, almost two years to the day after its introduction on March 13, 2020.
