Bellingham Capital acquired Independent Irish Health Foods

Bellingham Capital, the investment fund owned by Larry Goodman’s son Mark Goodman, has acquired Independent Irish Health Foods (IIHF).

Founded in 2008, the IHF is headquartered in Ballyvourney, Co. Cork.

The company offers customers around the world over 10,000 different natural food products. IIHF achieved a turnover of 25 million euros in the last financial year and currently employs 89 people.

IIHF also owns the True Natural Goodness trademark.

Day-to-day operations of the company are to continue as usual, with IIHF co-founders Richard Wilkins and Henry Bartlett remaining in consulting positions with the company.

The price paid for the health food company was not disclosed.

Bellingham Capital was founded by Mark Goodman last year and is part of the Bellingham Group. The fund focuses on investments in food.

In 2022, Bellingham Group companies will have combined sales of 80 million euros with 230 employees across Ireland.

Last October, Bellingham Capital acquired National Organic Products Ltd, owner of the Bunalun brand.

“Our intention is to form a collaborative partnership with the team at IIHF and continue to build on the great work they have done while helping to positively develop and grow the business,” said Mr. Goodman.

A statement from co-founders Richard Wilkins and Henry Bartlett said the acquisition is a positive step forward for the company. Bellingham Capital acquired Independent Irish Health Foods
