Ben Shephard Shares Plans For Son Sam’s 17th Birthday And Says ‘I Can’t Believe It’

GMB: Ben Shephard shares his son Sam’s 17th birthday plan

Ben Shephard has revealed that his eldest son turns 17 next week and he has big plans in the teen store.

While hosting Good Morning Britain on Thursday with good friend Kate Garraway, the father-of-two admitted he couldn’t believe his son would turn 18 and enter adulthood.

Ben and Kate had just discussed the premiere of their new Top Gun film at the Cannes Film Festival with Richard Arnold, as he confirmed that he had already booked tickets to see it.

The 47-year-old TV star said: “It’s my Sam’s 17th birthday. So it’s officially out next Wednesday…it’s Sam’s 17th, I can’t believe it. that he’s 17, and we’ve got tickets for Maverick for next Wednesday and we’re going together as a family.”

Although Ben decided to keep his sons Sam and Jack out of the limelight, he did give fans a glimpse of them on his Instagram page.

A post he shared last December to mark his birthday showed him walking along the streets of London with his arms around his two sons.

Ben captioned the sweet photo: “So just wanted to say thank you for all the really lovely birthday messages. I had such an incredible day I can’t believe I had 47 of these. them!?!?How did that happen.

“V special day with family, the only benefit these two have greater than me, is that they can hold on to me too!!”

This is certainly not the first time Ben has commented on Jack’s height as he also shared a snap of himself walking with his mother under an umbrella last May.

Ben captioned the post: “It was sunny on a rainy day! Mrs. S hosted a wonderful lunch @thevictoriasheen This was our first time going for lunch in months and it was delicious!! The rain didn’t stop playing wear either!! though Sam is obviously too tall for this umbrella now!”
