Beyonce has released her highly anticipated seventh studio album Renaissance.

The album features 16 tracks spanning a variety of genres including drive-in disco, Afrobeats and house influences.
Renaissance was prefixed with Act 1, and Beyonce later confirmed that it was part of a trilogy recorded during the pandemic.
The singer posted a lengthy statement on her website following the release, echoing a statement previously made on her Instagram page and thanking her family for their support and inspiration. .
“This three-action project is documented for three years during the pandemic. A time to be quiet, but also a time when I find myself most creative,” the statement read.
“Creating this album allowed me to have a place to dream and find an escape in a terrifying time for the world. It allows me to feel free and adventurous in a time when everything else is moving.
“My intention is to create a safe place, a place where there is no judgment. A place to be free from perfectionism and overthinking.
“A place to scream, liberate, feel free. It was a beautiful journey of discovery.”
She continued: “I want to give a special thanks to Rumi, Mr. and Blue for giving me this space, creativity and inspiration.

“This is a memory for you.
