Beyonce has released the first single from her highly anticipated Renaissance album, and fans are divided.

The single Break My Soul is listed as the sixth track from her upcoming album and it was announced last week that she will soon be releasing her seventh solo studio album.

Beyonce, 40, released her last studio album in 2016 – the hit Lemonade.

In Break My Soul, the former Destiny’s Child star said, “Bey is back and I’m sleeping soundly at night.”

The upbeat dance track was released on Tidal, the streaming platform in which her husband Jay-Z previously owned a stake.

Fans, known as BeyHive, have shared their reactions to the single on social media, with some labeling the song a “summer song”, but not all of them. satisfied.

Several fans took to social media to share their disappointment with the single, saying that Beyonce appeared to have ‘copied’ Azealia Banks.

One person tweeted: “That song by Beyoncé… a hit by Azealia Banks. She sounds so catchy.”

Another said: “The song sounds like a clone of something Azealia Banks would have done better. Beyoncé should have put Banks in for a few lines of rapping.”

A third wrote: “I hear it and think bank azealia too.. beyonce should stop stealing from the real queen”, while another fan said: “Beyonce’s new song is like a wannabe version of that Azealia bank song.”

Some are claiming Beyonce cheated Azealia Banks

Other fans have praised Beyoncé for her latest tune.

One said: “Beyoncé gave us an anti-capitalist, pro-gay summer song with vocals, rapping, chorus appeal and response, and FREEDIA. We do. the victory.”

Another tweeted: “Is it crazy that Beyoncé makes us feel any better just by dropping a BOP? Girl, I can’t even explain how much I’ve missed her over the past few years. over. It feels great to hear her voice again.”

While the third season says, “Beyoncé’s Break My Soul is for gays and girls!! she really gave us the summer song”, while the fourth reads, “It’s a beautiful summer.”

Break My Soul is also available to stream at places like Apple Music, which has put together a playlist for Renaissance with a total of 16 songs.

Big Freedia, who performs on the song, tweeted: “It feels so weird to be on track again with Queen Beyonce. I’m honored to be away from this special moment, me forever. thank god…someone catch me… #beyonce #bigfreedia #BreakMySoul.”

Beyonce, who has three number-one albums and five number-one singles in the UK, also updated her Instagram bio to read: “6. UNLOCK ME NOW,” following its release.
