BGT: The room in tears after the father’s emotional surprise audition

Britain’s Got Talent viewers were left in tears tonight as an unexpected father-of-two surprised his daughter on the show.

Nick Edwards, 35, from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, was shocked to see his two children – Savannah and Cali, aged three and four – appear on stage with their grandmother Tracey for something unusual. wonder he never forgot.

The two girls appeared in matching outfits, as they introduced them to the BGT judges – Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Simon Cowell and David Walliams – surprising Nick, but proud.

Nan Tracey asked the eldest what they came here for, when she revealed that they were coming on the show to surprise their dad.

She later told the judges when they invited Nick onto the stage: “Well Nick doesn’t know anything about it, but we wanted to surprise him and we wanted him to come and sing because he sings. A very good song for girls. “

As Nick walks up to the stage, Tracey says she has to sign up for the show for Nick because he would never have done it himself.

Fans shed tears at the father’s emotional performance



“I think over the years, I have lost a lot of confidence in myself,” he admits, “So I tend to shower at home.

After regaining his composure for the performance, Nick returned to a standing ovation, as he appeared extremely nervous and nearly in tears before the song began.

When he started singing the song about his two daughters, no one in the house had dry eyes because Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Dec Donnelly and some in the audience saw them wiping their tears.

Britain’s Got Talent is off to a great start



Fans tuning in from home were also in tears, with one writing: “Oh my gosh, two little girls surprised their dad, absolutely crying #BGT. ”

“I will cry #bgt,” added a second, as a third wrote: “I’m not crying, you’re crying!!! #BGT. ”

The fourth added: “I’m crying as the man sings to his little girls #bgt. ”
