BGT: The Gospel Choir performed in the program to impress the judges

Britain’s Got Talent is facing a new row of repairs after it emerged a gospel choir appeared on the ‘already popular’ Saturday night show.

The London Evangelical Community Choir wowed the judges with Mariah Carey’s performances of O’Jays’ Love Train and Anytime You Need a Friend.

They easily made it through to the next round with four yesses and even a standing ovation from Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

But viewers at home were quick to take to Twitter to point out the choir is a professional performer who has been active for many years and already has a huge loyal fan base.

Another wrote: “Watching BGT. The London Community Choir is truly world-renowned. They were on Blue Peter all the time when I was a kid. Ask anyone on the street to name a Gospel Choir and that’s who they say. They will get 89 points for a nonsense question about the gospel. “

“I love the London Community Gospel Choir. I loved them for a long time. I’ve seen them perform at major venues, they’re on my Spotify playlists. So why are they on #BGT,” said a third.

“London Community Gospel Choir is absolutely a household name… @BGT,” said a fourth.

The fifth added: “The London Community Gospel Choir is phenomenal. That’s why they are famous, successful and often appear on TV or other artists’ recordings. I don’t know why they are allowed to join #BritainsGotTalent. ”

The choir performed with spectacular musical repertoire

While some fans pointed out that the choir has performed on stage with acts as big as Blur.

Their website states that they have performed with major musical artists such as Tom Jones, Elton John, Madonna, Paul McCartney and Mariah Carey.
