BGT’s Loren Allred discusses her ‘long journey’ in the industry

Britain’s Got Talent contestant Loren Allred has opened up about her past on The Voice USA, detailing her “long journey” in the music industry on ITV’s Lorraine.

The singer, who featured on the song Never Enough in Hugh Jackman’s 2017 musical The Greatest Showman, has been criticized for being more famous than other entries on Britain’s Got Talent.

The 32-year-old introduced herself as the singer behind Rebecca Ferguson’s performance in the film ahead of her audition in front of an ITV jury.

Lorraine presenter Christine Lampard, who has stood for regular presenter Lorraine Kelly, also asked Loren about her appearance on The Voice.

Loren was a contestant on the third season of The Voice in 2012 and chose hitmaker Maroon 5 as her coach, but she was eliminated after the first week of the show’s live round, taking second place. 13.

“You’ve had big names championing from the start – Michael Buble, of course, Simon Cowell is obviously in love now too,” Christine said.

“You were actually on The Voice at one point – Adam Levine is backing you there too, so you’ve done a lot, but it seems now is about the moment.”

Speaking from afar from San Diego, the Pennsylvania native said: “It’s been a really long journey in the music industry.

“I was on The Voice and I’ve been fighting for my chance for a long time and I’m so lucky the song has been such a hit.”

She added: “Michael Buble directed me and gave me a platform to be known. I am very grateful to him for doing that.

“I really feel Britain’s Got Talent is the perfect place to show more people my story and hopefully show them that I’m a musician and keep singing.”

But when Loren won his first Golden Ball on the show’s new series, viewers felt that Britain’s Got Talent should be dedicated to new discoveries.

In response to the criticism, Britain’s Got Talent has voiced support for Loren, telling Metro: “While most people will hear the hit song Greatest Showman, Loren is not a household name and she deserves it. get a place on the BGT stage. ”

The spokesperson added: “We hope that such articles will not go against someone so deserving of this opportunity. It’s amazing that Loren is now able to step out and be the face, not just the vocalist, of one of the most popular songs of all time. ”
