Britain’s Got Talent number one Susan Boyle has had a glittering career since making it big in 2009, but where is she now?

Susan Boyle first appeared on our screens in 2009 when she appeared in the third season of Britain’s Got Talent.
The Scottish cutie left the judges and viewers at home completely in love and stunned everyone with her haunting rendition of ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ from Les Misérables.
Having achieved world fame when the clip went viral, Susan was the clear front-runner, winning the show and earning a spot on the Royal Variety Performance, but ended up finishing second behind dance group Diversity.
The 61-year-old has found global success since her first stint on the talent show, but has remained down to earth and utterly humbled by what she’s achieved.
With BGT only just returning to our screens over the weekend, we thought it appropriate to take a look into the life of one of its greatest success stories…
A whopping £22m profit
Since rising to fame, Susan’s career has reportedly netted an impressive £22million.
She has released a number of albums, all of which have likely brought her a healthy amount of money.
Her discography is as follows: I Dreamed a Dream (2009), The Gift (2010), Someone to Watch Over Me (2011), Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs from the Stage (2012), Home for Christmas (2013), Hope (2014), A Wonderful World (2016) and her most recent – Ten (2019).
Despite reportedly having thousands of pounds in the bank, she has previously revealed to Piers Morgan that she’s frugal when it comes to budgets.
She explained to the former GMB presenter-turned-TalkTV presenter that she supports herself on a modest £300-500 a week, calling it “a lot”.
The Sun revealed last year that the companies she owns make millions of pounds.
Susan owns Duil Limited, Speur Business, Speur Ltd and Speur Films – all of which have collectively amassed £2million in recent years.
Though flushed with money, Susan still lives at her childhood home in Blackburn, West Lothian.
The ex-town hall is said to have reimbursed her a modest £111,000, which is a small price to pay for someone with a bursting bank balance.
While she tried to live elsewhere, the humble singer wasn’t cut out for it.
After spending £300,000 on a five-bedroom house for herself and her niece, she was unable to hack it and moved back to her original ex-town hall.
Speak with OK! Magazine in the past, Susan explained, “It has to do with the memories of your home and your upbringing, you have to take stock and maybe see where you come from and where your roots lie.
“It’s best to be grounded and with your roots. It keeps you grounded and stops you from saying things you might not be saying.”
journey to lose weight
In 2016, Susan revealed she lost a whopping two stones after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
In an interview with us in 2016, Susan spoke about her body transformation, saying, “I had to stop eating candy and cake. It’s the bane of my life.
“I had to lose the weight for my health.”
Love life and romance with the doctor
While on tour, Susan met a handsome American doctor, and the couple eventually got together — something that marked the singer’s first love affair.
In her exclusive 2016 interview, she told us, “I don’t want to reveal the doctor’s name. It’s nothing serious at the moment. I’ll send him a pic of my weight loss – if he’s a good boy! I enjoy male company.
“I would also like to adopt a child, but my cat might get jealous. I don’t want to see a cat and a baby fight. I can do that later.”
Discussing their love affair afterwards, she said: “I had a gentleman friend who was a doctor.
“We went to lunch but I didn’t tell anyone.
“But if I had a boyfriend, that would be purely platonic — I’ve been single too long now to get married.”
Susan and her brother Gerry had a little fight.
They reportedly went without a word for more than two years.
Something that came after rumors that Gerry had said he threatened to take his own life if his sister didn’t give him £50,000.
Susan has reportedly given her brother around £400,000 over the years.
However, they have been on good terms since 2016, proving that their family bond is unbreakable.
Delighted at their rekindled relationship, she told the Sunday Mirror last year: “I’m very happy, it’s a huge relief and I look to the future with a happy smile.
“Everything is great and fantastic.”
