Biden’s tour posters remind Twitter of Coachella

It looks like President Joe Biden is trying to remind people that his summer speaking tour is the hottest ticket in town.

The president appeared to be taking inspiration from the music world as he promoted his upcoming campaign events in a glossy Twitter post on Monday.

biden invited people Speaking of the second leg of his Investing in America tour, he wrote, “This summer we’re on our way investing in America again,” beneath a sherbet-colored poster with bold name blocks and a small landscape at the bottom.

To concert fans, the sunset backdrop and chunky lyrics seemed like a clear nod to the annual Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California.

Even the small illustration below looked like a copy of the iconic festival announcements, but instead of palm trees and a Ferris wheel, the poster featured a Biden campaign sign with a busy factory in the distance.

People couldn’t wait to point out the resemblance online.

“LMFAOOOOOOOO not the federal coachella” one person laughed.

“Dark Brandon to headline Coachella,” another posted, referring to the president’s well-known alter ego.

Others seemed annoyed by the announcement’s hip patina. I’m probably feeling weary from the recent conservative victories on the Supreme Court, says the Washington Post journalist Chris Kelly wrote“I wish they would fight for us with the same force that the fascists fight against us. But no, let’s mimic Coachella posters instead.”

“Music festival culture is spiraling out of control,” shared another Twitter user Coachella Angel.

Biden announced his three-week term Cross Country Tour End of June.

Along the way, the president and his allies hope to persuade voters that his Invest in America agenda has boosted the economy and “created jobs and opportunity in every corner of the country.”

He will be joined by Democratic leaders such as Vice President Kamala Harris, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and former President Clinton Chief of Staff John Podesta.

The second leg of Biden’s Investing In America tour officially kicked off last week and will visit swing states like Arizona, Colorado, Georgia and more in the coming weeks.
