Irish singing duo Jedward has offered to host a new series of Big Brother, after it was announced that the popular reality TV show would return in 2023.

It comes after it was announced during Monday night’s Love Island finale that Big Brother would be revived by ITV after a five-year hiatus.

The show aired for 18 years in the UK until its cancellation in 2018.

Writing on Twitter, Jedward wrote: “Big Brother UK 2023, we should definitely host it. Iconic housemates. “

The pair first appeared on Celebrity Big Brother 8, won by Paddy Doherty and saw Kerry Katona finish as runner-up.

They then returned to the home for Celebrity Big Brother 19 as All-Stars, finishing as runner-up to Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan.

Big Brother will return in 2023 on ITV2 and the new streaming platform ITVX, with the popular house having a “modern new look”.

A cast of “carefully handpicked housemates from all walks of life” will live together for up to six weeks as the public watches over the home’s network of surveillance cameras.

The show’s trademark live performances will also return to the public once again voting throughout the series and ultimately deciding the cash prize winner.

It’s unclear if the celebrity version will also return.
