Billie Faiers and Greg Shepherd are facing backlash over sending their children out of school for a lavish trip to Abu Dhabi.

The couple recently announced that they are expecting their third child, having taken daughter Nelly, 7, and son Arthur, 5, on the luxury holiday they’ve documented in the media society.

Greg posted a video of him and his gorgeous family boarding a business class flight to Abu Dhabi, as he filmed them entering the airport and enjoying the business class lounge.

The clip then shows Arthur making the most of his expensive seat on the plane, as he leans back and relaxes while watching TV, and is then caught dozing off while wearing his headphones.

The whole family was also presented with a beautiful cake, which read ‘Welcome to Abu Dhabi’, and Greg shared more snippets of their time in the sky, including a brief congratulation with Billie’s wife as they were about to land in this country.

“Let our adventure in Abu Dhabi begin… First time flying with @etihad amazing service from start to finish #etihad,” he wrote.

But fans were quick to comment on the post, as they asked Greg and Billie about the seemingly decision to take the kids out of school for the trip.

“Children spend more time on vacations than at school,” wrote one, as another agreed: “How many vacations does your child have to miss out on so much important schoolwork?! What a life! ”

“Do you have to pay the school a fine for taking the kids out on time?” another asked, while one smoked: “Is this now? Aren’t the kids out of school? ”

However, some of their followers support the family trip, with one stressing that it’s better to take the kids on vacation while they’re still in elementary school.

“Family time is much more precious, enjoy the memories and do some work in school where both are in elementary school not like high school where exams are taken. present,” they commented.

“For me, family time, family memories and being with the people you love comes first,” they added.

The couple have yet to comment on the uproar, but Greg liked a comment on his post that said: “Just got back from 2 weeks with my son. Get him out of school. The school won’t penalize us because it was booked in advance of covid and I have fully informed them.

“Not all schools are good. Plus, the fines are far less than the cost of dropping off the kids during school holidays. I will continue to do it myself! Given the fact that he’s tagging etihad on it, it could be gifted in some way, so I wouldn’t say no either! “follower added.
