The West Midlands chip shop has become an unlikely tourist hotspot for four thousand, some of whom have traveled from all over the world, since it went viral online.
Chippy’s videos and memes have been viewed millions of times online, leaving the chip shop with queues outside and in the parking lot for the past few days.
Today was no different as scores of Brits queued up to enjoy the second day of their anniversary weekend with a Chippy.

Fencer Josh Perks, 18, made an eight-hour round trip from his Portsmouth home with two friends after seeing the takeaway was trending on TikTok.
He said: “We just thought it was a laugh, we wanted to see what the fuss was about. It was great fun, there was a bit of a party atmosphere. I don’t think the staff there can get their thoughts on what’s really going on.”
19-year-old student Ben Bradley from Coventry added: “I met a guy who had come over from France.

“Who comes to Coventry from France? Some lads from Scotland came too. It’s crazy, but the most British thing ever.
“It certainly shows the power of social media. It’s like a festival here. It has to be the most famous destination in Coventry at the moment and it’s just our local crisp shop.”
Shopkeeper Kamal Gandhi said he had “no idea” why the shop was catapulted to fame but claimed it could be because of his mother-in-law’s prayers.

Kamal said, “I don’t know. It could be god. I think it’s actually a gift from my mother-in-law, when I bought the store she was praying it would be a success.”
Kamal, 70, doesn’t even know who is behind the viral song honoring his Chippy, adding: “I have no idea who made it or who made the song. I actually have no idea.”
Gandhi thinks the novelty may be fading, but for now they are still being occupied by the growing number of customers.
