These days, it is very difficult to avoid vandals, especially when everything is posted on the internet. Information ends up in headlines or images on news aggregator sites. Friends say things around water coolers. Plus, when the star herself hints at the possibility in interviews, and you hear about a leak, you’ll draw conclusions.
However, this is one of those things – this particular mid-credits scene – where fans have been hoping (and possibly expecting) in the first place. It wasn’t a big surprise. It wasn’t Nick Fury starting the Avengers Initiative. Superman and Black Adam feel destined to fight at this point. Dwayne Johnson wants it to exist. It’s a reasonable pairing. Hopefully this teasing coming up in the movie won’t diminish its impact on fans.
Garcia says they’ve tried to “protect these situations,” but also admits that DC fans can be… raving. Sometimes they try to get information and pass it on. “Unfortunately, there are always a few people who will try and screw it up for the rest of the world,” he said. Garcia hopes that fans will block it and try not to spoil it, but it won’t be easy. He explained:
“We worked with Warner Bros. to try to control some of that, but really, it spread like wildfire. It’s something you always know you have to deal with when you start testing the movie.”
I’ve seen the movie, I don’t think it’ll be a problem if you guys do foreseen. The rest of the movie stands alone.
“Black Adam” is in theaters.
