Black Desert Console gets new region, O’dyllita, in the latest update

Black Desert Console received a new update today adding the new O’dyllita region along with new quests and items, a new hunting ground, class and UI changes.

The new O’dyllita region is open to you with a new level 60 quest, Flower of the Burning Moon. Once you’ve unlocked the new region for yourself, progressing through the main quests will grant you a special accessory: the Tears of the Wind necklace.

What awaits you in the new land is darkness and mystery, as Pearl Abyss describes it:

“Those banished from the verdant pastures of Kamasylvia find themselves in O’dyllita. Discover more about the history of the Ahibs, the secrets buried in the region and Caphras, the immortal alchemist in the new region of O’dyllita!

Your chance to uncover some of these mysteries may come with the new questline and new Ash Forest hunting area. Ash Forest is a new monster zone with powerful creatures. Recommended levels are 300AP and 400DP as these are aimed at serious players looking to conquer some of the game’s most difficult monsters. Strategic planning is required because they hate the living and “are not easily distracted by incantations and other magics”. The monsters in the forest prioritize attacking a character and ignore summoned creatures and only attack summoned creatures first when a character has the maximum number of monsters attacking them. So you have to figure out how to handle the aggro and fight back these very powerful beasts.

Class changes affect the Ranger, Sorceress, Maehwa, and Mystic. These changes include fixes to descriptions and minor tweaks to ensure several abilities work as intended. Also included in the update are improvements to character animations and ships to make them look more natural when boarding boats, as well as UI changes like a ping feature and an adjustment for colorblind people.
