Black Desert Online previews the Balenos overhaul, upcoming changes in Winter Eternal and beyond


Featuring the latest CalpheON Festival, the upcoming Drakania class for Black desert onlineThe upcoming Eternal Winter expansion has been announced. Pearl Abyss also announced some details on additional updates to look forward to with the new content at the recent event.

The Drakania is a new female class with a very large two-handed sword called the Slayer. She wields the power of dragons and is a descendant of dragons herself. You can enter tomorrow, March 30th, and have until April 6th to pre-create your very own Drakania.

Other changes coming in the expansion and beyond include an update for Balenos, one of the game’s oldest regions. Balenos will receive an improved quest line, as well as new cutscenes and content. Localization for this planned update is currently ongoing, and there is a video accompanying the preview.

Pearl Abyss also continues to update the character models and appearances of prominent NPCs, so you’ll notice this as you travel around the world.

Several of the game’s hunting grounds have also been improved based on community feedback. Calpheon’s Elvia Monster Zone has received some access changes and new zones and income adjustments. Access will be available on all servers for both normal and Elvia Ord storage zones. All of these changes and opportunities also allow players to have their own personal Monster Zone for an hour each day.

Pearl Abyss also announced new outfits, new skins for the Carrack set for Korea in May and later globally, and future quality-of-life changes.
