Border Forces Strikes: Advice for Newhaven Ferry Passengers

Ferry passengers have been urged to review their trips as the Border Force strikes could disrupt their travel plans.

Strikes by the Public and Commercial Services Union on December 23-26 and December 28-31 may affect ferry passengers traveling on the DFDS Newhaven-Dieppe route during the bank holidays.

A spokesman for DFDS said: “We are working closely with local and regional authorities and will continue to offer a full roster.

“We advise all passengers traveling on the affected dates to allow sufficient time to clear border control.”

Travelers are asked to check the latest information on DFDS social media channels and website before travelling.

Those wishing to change their crossing to travel on dates not affected by these strikes can do so by calling (+44) 03305878787 from a UK number or (+33) 0809 541 890 from France.

According to DFDS, there is no change fee for booking changes, but the fare difference for changing the booking is payable. Border Forces Strikes: Advice for Newhaven Ferry Passengers
