The gaping hole in the Queen’s speech, outlining the Conservative Government’s program for the next 12 months, was a sad excuse for a proper plan.
Boris Johnson, who raised taxes to 1940s levels and is presiding over the worst fall in living standards since the 1950s, is a Tory wreaking havoc on Britain.
And where did the bill promise to improve workers’ rights? Nowhere to be seen.
Brawling, ruthless privatization of Channel 4, a Bill of Rights hobbyhorse plus a crackdown on all protests under the guise of fighting Extinction Rebellion and Insulate Britain is a ragtag list.
Brexit will not provide opportunities if it gives the European Union an excuse to dilute equal pay and scrap health and safety laws.
Johnson and his administration have little of value to offer.
