Bounty Hunter’s daughter Lyssa Chapman marries girlfriend on ‘dream day’ in Hawaii

Lyssa Chapman married Leiana Evensen in an intimate Hawaiian ceremony and insists her dad is happy for her even though he didn’t attend.

The Bounty Hunter daughter Lyssa Chapman was married to her girlfriend Leiana Evensen in Hawaii, but her father was not present at the ceremony.

Lyssa, who has been dating Leiana since 2016, had an intimate ceremony by the sea but admitted her father was not in attendance.

However, she said Dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, is still a very important part of her big day.

Talking to PeopleShe said, “Of course he was on the phone with me all morning and throughout. We FaceTimed him a lot. He was there mentally and electronically.”

She explained that her father had found it “really, really difficult” to return to Hawaii following the death of his fourth wife Beth Chapman.

Dog and Beth rose to fame on the popular reality television series that watched them try to catch the fugitives along with their families.

They had a happy marriage together for more than a decade before she passed away in 2019 from cancer at the age of 51.

Lyssa took to Instagram to share the news of her wedding with her 301k followers. She posted several photos along with the caption: “Last week Lei and I boarded the boat at 7am with our 7 closest family members and we spend our love and our lives. for each other.”

She continued: “With our feet in the water, we connect ourselves to the power and immensity of the ocean. We are hugged by the majestic Ko’olau Mountains, which will continue to hug us. as we live and spend the rest of our lives together at Makaalamihi.

“There, with Uncle David at the ceremony, we declared our intentions, said our vows and started living together OFFICIALLY as wives and wives.”

Snaps include two brides wearing bikinis and kissing in the ocean.

She also included a few silhouette shots showing the pair paddling in the water.

Lyssa went on to say that her dad is fully supportive of her new marriage and added to People: “My dad has always loved me and that’s not what we talk about.

“I think it’s really hard for people to be Catholic and have a belief that marriage is between a man and a woman. But when your daughter loves someone and you love that person, you can’t just say you no” I believe in it. “

She added: “I didn’t want to get his word out because I didn’t know what his exact feelings were about it, but he never showed me anything other than support.”
