Ireland goalkeeper Mark Travers is back in the Premier League as Bournemouth sealed automatic promotion from the Championship.
The Cherries needed a home win over Nottingham Forest to avoid the play-offs and go straight upstairs, and a goal eight minutes from the end of substitute Kieffer Moore gave them that victory. Travers played a part in the win with another goal conceded, the Kildare man being cautioned for wasting time in added time as Scott Parker’s side edged closer to victory.
Travers (22) made his Premier League debut for the side at the end of the 2018/19 season, keeping a clean sheet in the 1-0 win against Tottenham and making three Premier League appearances in total.
Robbie Brady was an unused substitute in the win against Forest and with his short-term contract expiring at the end of the season, the 30-year-old must now convince Parker that he deserves a new contract for next season in the Premier League.
Fulham had already secured their place in next season’s top flight after finishing first in the Championship.
