Boxing fans furious after stream crashes between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte

Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte are set to head to the ring at 10pm tonight but fans are already struggling to catch the show on BT Sport

Fury and Whyte vote ahead of their fight for the world heavyweight title
Boxing fans took to social media in anger for paying £25 to watch a boxing night only to be met with a black screen.
Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte will be officiating a huge night of boxing at Wembley but action kicked off at 6pm with the first hour available free to BT Sport customers. Encryption starts at 7pm and only those who paid for the pay-per-view can see the rest of the action.
But fans have flocked to complain that they were unable to see at several particularly affected Virgin Media customers. “Take care of it… just have a black screen with the viewer number in the right corner,” one wrote.

“Why after I take my money for the FURY fight it’s just a black screen with an unavailable news channel and then the box just crashes?” said another. Another fan commented: “Is it on yet? All I see is a black screen with a number in the corner,” while another added, “Anyone else having trouble watching the Fury fight on Virgin Media? here.”
Fury and Whyte will meet after years of bickering over Fury’s world heavyweight title. Fury won the belt when he quit Deontay Wilder At their second meeting in 2020 before Ra’s repeat performance last year, he settled their rivalry for good.
Whyte, meanwhile, has waited almost 1,700 days for his shot at a world title and has not fought since his revenge win over Alexander Povetkin 13 months ago.

And after a friendly build-up, Fury insisted he wasn’t untouchable, having been forced to climb off the canvas four times in his three fights with Wilder. “I’m not sure about all these outboxes – unless I’m Houdini I can definitely beat them all, but I’ve definitely been beaten before.
“I’ve had more bounces off the screen than a bouncy ball. I’m not the untouchable boxer everyone thinks I am. I’m just a regular boxer who got lucky 32 times in a row I guess! “
