Boy, 15, dies in suspected stabbing as 16-year-old arrested in murder investigation

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 15-year-old was killed in Pendeford, Wolverhampton, along with a 46-year-old woman who had been arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting a criminal

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 15-year-old died in Wolverhampton.
West Midlands Police were called with ambulances treating an injured child near a canal bridge on Reapers Walk in Pendeford just before 4.15pm on Friday.
Unfortunately the boy has passed away and his family has been informed.
Police are investigating what happened but at this point believe the boy was stabbed.
A 46-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting a perpetrator.
The boy and woman are both from Wolverhampton and were arrested just before 7pm.
A Force statement added: “Our thoughts are with the boy’s family and friends whose lives have been changed forever.
“A cordon has been placed around the scene and we are speaking to witnesses and expediting a review of CCTV in the area.”
A woman who lives nearby told it BirminghamLive: “I was in the back garden, that was the first thing I knew when something happened.
“I heard all the ambulances parked behind my house.
“It’s a quiet neighborhood around here.”
A man said: “I heard the ambulances and the air ambulance. You don’t normally see that here.”
