A young boy had a lucky escape tonight after a bike he was riding crashed into a car in Limerick City.
The boy was taken to Limerick University Hospital just after 6pm and has since been discharged from hospital, Gardaí confirmed.
The collision happened in a car park of a building on Childers Road, south of the treaty city.
A local source said Gardaí cordoned off the scene for a few hours, which was later cleared.
“Around 6pm, Gardaí visited the scene of an accident involving a car and a boy on a bicycle in a car park at a property in Childers
Road, Limerick on Monday 17 October 2022,” said a Garda spokesman.
“The boy was taken to the hospital from the scene of the crime for a medical examination and was later discharged,” they added.
