Brad Pitt says he would love to live in Ireland one day

Brad Pitt has said he would love to live in Ireland one day, following in the footsteps of Hollywood actors like Matt Damon and Russell Crowe, both of whom have spent time here in recent years.
While promoting his latest film, Babylon, Pitt was asked if he wanted to buy somewhere in Ireland, Pitt said: “I would love to be there. It’s so beautiful that I really want to have a place there. A day.”
Showing his love for the Irish, he also said he went to Bono’s live performance to promote his book, Surrender.
He told Today FM’s Dermot and Dave: “I went to LA. It’s phenomenal, and I wish it would continue for another three hours. It’s really touching and really fun and beautifully reflective.
“You know, it’s Bono, there’s no man like him.”
Speaking of taking risks and performing his own stunts, Pitt said: “You have to sacrifice your body for these movies. I love [the way] Chevy Chase, who will make some of the best falls.
“I pride myself on being able to dodge bullets better than any of my contemporaries. Hats off to Gary Oldman. I’m really in his flow, I’m really copying a young Gary Oldman. But yes, that’s a point to be proud of.
Dermot and Dave also spoke with Margot Robbie and Diego Calva about the upcoming film set in the golden age of Hollywood.

“Amazing, to be honest, I can’t find Nellie [her character] if I didn’t have Diego play Manny. It informs everything I do and Nellie powers people and I am also an actor powering people,” she said.
“So if Damien [Chazelle, director] not making the series that he does it’s total madness, I don’t think Nellie would be as crazy as she is. If Diego hadn’t watched Nellie become Manny with so much love and pain in his eyes, I don’t know if she would have been able to radiate that pain and love in return.
When playing lifeless characters in his films, Robbie says: “I hope it doesn’t say much about me! I think I save all the crazy stuff and put it on screen as well as in real life. I think I’m a pretty cold person.”
Babylon opens in cinemas in Ireland on Friday 20 January
