A brave teenager. whose YouTube channel supports cancer patients, died in his mother’s arms.
Liam Preece has built a large number of followers on his video sharing website due to his inspirational, upbeat diaries.
The 15-year-old earned him the Teenager of Courage award at the Pride of Manchester Awards 2022, which he received two weeks ago.
He was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer that spread to other parts of his body after suffering from knee pain in 2020.
That Manchester evening news reports that his mother, Jodie Conroy, announced his death in a Facebook post this morning, saying he died in her arms.

Hundreds of tributes were left under the message from his mother, who called him an “inspiration” and an “incredible fighter”.
“Liam, you were a soldier and I will never forget your smile or your positive attitude. Sending massive hugs to you and your family,” one wrote.
Another said: “No words can express how sorry we are for your loss Jodie, Liam will always be remembered as the happy, inspirational child who did his best to be positive as he battled this cruel disease struggled and helped others going through the same thing.

Our hearts are with you and your wonderful family.”
One tribute called Liam a “sassy, funny boy” who “made everyone smile” and another said his YouTube videos are always “positive, inspirational and powerful”.
Mum Jodie previously said Liam was an “amazing” boy “with a heart of gold and a beautiful soul”.
She said, “He is selfless and no words can describe how proud I am to be his mother.”
He launched his My Name is Liam YouTube channel to share his journey openly and honestly. His upbeat style and candid videos earned him over 11,000 subscribers, as well as shoutouts from fellow YouTubers.
Liam previously said cancer puts you in “panic mode” and he started his channel to help others.
He was an avid Manchester United fan and was previously given a shirt signed by Reds star Marcus Rashford in hospital.

The May event was hosted by former Corrie star Kym Marsh with a host of famous faces from TV, sports and the music industry to present awards to people who have gone the extra mile to make a difference.
Her former fellow soap star will join her with Lucy Fallon, Katie McGlynn, Anthony Cotton and Chris Bisson, as well as ex-Emmerdale’s Natalie Anderson.
A host of TV and radio presenters and celebrities including Mel B, Fleur East, Vernon Kay, Paige Turley and Finn Tapp, Moira Stuart and Denise Welsh.
