Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne prepare for the Dancing On Ice finale

Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne will go head-to-head in the Dancing On Ice finals.

Resenter Holly Willoughby will return for Sunday’s final episode after missing the semi-finals due to Covid-19, which Phillip Schofield hosted alone.

The final episode of the skating competition has been pushed back a week following a change in the ITV schedule.

After weeks of impressive performances, former Strictly Come Dancing pro Cole, Pussycat Dolls star Wyatt and dancer Gascoigne, son of former England footballer Paul, will face off to be crowned the ultimate winner.

In the semifinals, the prominent contestants skated twice and also included a double elimination.

BMX Olympic champion Kye Whyte and The Vamps singer Connor Ball were both knocked out of the competition in the skate-off, which was won by Wyatt.

In the quarterfinals, all three finalists received a perfect score of 40.

The week Coronation Street actress Sally Dynevor was banned from the show, The Vamps star Connor Ball suffered an injury that caused him to bleed after a blade went into his leg during his performance.

The singer was taken to a doctor and treated following the routine.

During a previous live show, Ball also reopened a cut on his chin during his Charleston dance, allowing blood to drip onto the ice after falling before the live broadcast.

This episode, Willoughby was instead joined by Stephen Mulhern after co-host Schofield tested positive for Covid.

During the series, Love Island contestant Liberty Poole and Happy Mondays star Bez also fell during their routines.

Poole suffered a fall during her roller coaster-themed skate to Flo Rida’s Right Round, where she lost her footing while landing an elevator, dragging her partner Joe Johnson onto the ice.

Meanwhile, during his high-energy routine, Bez slipped into Katrina and the Waves’ Walking On Sunshine disguised as a beekeeper.
