Former Fleetwood Mac keyboardist and band David Lee Roth songwriter Brett Tuggle dies after being diagnosed with cancer

Brett Tuggle has passed away at the age of 70.

Former Fleetwood Mac keyboardist and songwriter David Lee Roth Band has died after being diagnosed with cancer.

To pay tribute to the veteran musician, rock star Rick Springfield shared curated photos over the years of the couple.

He wrote on Twitter: “Our sweet Brett Tuggle arrived home tonight. God bless his beautiful spirit. @BrettTuggle1.”

Brett is survived by daughter Michelle and son Matt, who told Rolling Stone that his family was “with him during his illness”.

“He was a lovely father. He gave me music in my life,” Matt added.

Fans have also flocked to Twitter to pay their respects to the musician, with one line writing alongside two photos of him on stage: “I was lucky enough to see Brett Tuggle perform with @LBuckingham last month 9 2021 in MN. Here’s a screenshot from a clip from their DC show a few days later (with Brett clasping hands) and a @KorgUSA shot of Brett and Lindsey from the previous tour . #RIPBrettTuggle.”

While another commented: “Brett is an unsung hero in so many HUGE bands: Rick, David Lee Roth, Fleetwood Mac. He’s an outstanding human being. He personally responded to emails. from a fan I sent him many years ago for his great contribution to all of this band.So sad.My condolences to his family and friends. “

A third wrote: “Oh no!!! I’ve seen him tour many times with @LBuckingham that’s terrible news. May he rest in peace and I’m so sorry for your loss.”
