Bridgerton broke a Netflix record, days after the second season was released.
The new series focuses on newlyweds Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) and Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), as Lord Bridgerton takes viewers on a journey to find love and find the right woman to settle down with.
The second season was dropped on March 25, and it broke some major records, as viewers quickly tuned in to find out what was happening in the world of the Bridgerton family, who hail from Regency London.
Newly released figures show that the series was viewed over 250 million hours in a single week.
According to Deadline.
Netflix’s series also impressively stayed in the top 10 in 93 countries, while the first season also shot to the top 10 and also achieved an impressive 53 million hours of viewing time despite it being released in 2020.

The only record it can’t beat is that of Squid Game, which holds the record for the most watched show in a week on the streaming platform. During the week of September 27, it racked up a whopping 571.8 million hours watched.
It comes after actress Simone Ashley teased that there’s a lot more to come for Kate and Anthony in the coming season.
“There were troubles with the family and then they found each other at the end. I think things are just getting started,” she said.

“I’d love to see Kate just loosen up a little more and play more in season three and swim in that circle of love together. I think they both deserve it. I want to keep that soft and vulnerable. for Kate and she can share that with Anthony.”
The show has a number of celebrity fans including Kim Kardashian and Kate Middleton, something actress Nicola Coughlan – who plays Penelope Featherington – finds hard to believe.
“It’s crazy to think that something you make has been seen by so many people around the world. It’s impressive,” she said when discussing the show’s international success, while Kim’s sister, Khloe Kardashian recently confessed that she is “still dreaming” of former Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page – who played the beloved Duke of Hastings.
