Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict Bridgerton in the hit Netflix drama, has admitted that one of his “favorite things” is watching his co-stars struggle to deliver some of the trickier bits of dialogue.
The 33-year-old actor also revealed which Bridgerton star got the most laughs when he forgot his lines during filming.

Ahead of the series’ comeback, Bridgerton star Luke has reminisced about some of the hilarious moments that occurred during filming of the period drama.
“Watching anyone, including me, try to shut their mouth [Regency English] and failing repeatedly is one of my favorite things to do,” he revealed Red Magazine in their April issue.
The star added there’s “nothing funnier” than when co-star Ruth Gemmell, 54, who plays his mother Lady Violet, improvises in posh English when she forgets her lines.
After the eight-episode first season garnered positive reviews and dominated social media conversation, Bridgerton quickly became the most watched series on Netflix at the time of its premiere – with a viewership of 82 million households.
In January 2021, just weeks after launch, it was confirmed that Bridgerton would be returning for a second season — and the series’ creator announced in April 2021 that it had even been renewed for a third and fourth season.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the latest installment in Shondaland’s Regency-era drama, adapted from Julia Quinn’s best-selling novel series.
On Christmas Day 2021, series producer Shonda Rhimes took to social media to officially announce the release date for season two – and included a new teaser clip in her post as a celebratory gift for fans.
“Get the carriages ready, dear reader. #Bridgerton is back on March 25th 2022!” Shona captioned the short video on Facebook.
Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington in Bridgerton, also shared the same video with her fans on Twitter.
“A little Christmas present to you from #Bridgerton,” the Irish star wrote on Christmas Day.
In the Netflix branded video, members of the Bridgerton cast read a letter from Lady Whistledown, who of course had the gossip and substantive details.
