A new trailer for Bridgerton’s highly anticipated second season sees a return to Regency-era glory and a sizzling love triangle.
he was a hit on the Netflix show, based on Julia Quinn’s book series of the same name, which follows eight Bridgerton siblings as they try to find love.
The upcoming historical drama will revolve around the family’s eldest son, Viscount Anthony Bridgerton, as he appears caught up in the love triangle between Kate Sharma and her older sister Edwina.

The trailer opens dramaticly with the mother of the children Bridgerton announcing that this is the season when Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey, intends to find a wife.
As more elegant young ladies come out, he tries to woo Edwina (Charithra Chandran) but must first get the consent of his sister Kate (Simone Ashley of Sex Education).
But true love never runs smoothly when it’s possible to see longing glances and light touches between Anthony and Kate, to her question: “I want my sister to be happy, can you do it?” make her happy?”
The trailer also shows the return of the show’s anonymous gossip writer Lady Whistledown, voiced by Dame Julie Andrews.
Her thoughtful comment continued as she asked in the teaser, “What happens when obligation conflicts with the heart’s true desire?”

Nicola Coughlan will also reprise the role of Penelope Featherington, who was revealed to be the allusion behind the Lady Whistledown character at the end of the first season.
It seems she also faces trouble on the horizon as the Queen can be seen saying: “Her words carry too much. We have to go with the scribbler.”
Fans will also be able to look forward to more eye-catching prom scenes, gorgeous costumes, and dramatic moments, including Anthony’s fall into the river.
Bridgerton became the most-watched show on Netflix when it was released on Christmas Day 2020, thanks to its stunts, costumes, and chic sets.
At the time, the streaming giant said the show was watched by a record 82 million households in 28 days.
The first season follows the development of a steamy romance between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings (Rege-Jean Page).
Daphne will return in the new series to give advice to her brother Anthony, but her current husband Simon will not be returning.
The new season produced by Shonda Rhimes will be released on the online website on March 25.
