Brighton Bus and Train Company exposes cyber attack

A COMPANY that operates bus services in the city said it detected a “cyber security incident”.

A spokesman for the company said: “Upon becoming aware of the incident, Go-Ahead immediately engaged external forensic specialists and took precautions with its IT infrastructure while continuing to investigate the nature and scale of the incident and implement its incident response plans.”

He also said there was “no evidence that customer data had been compromised.”

“Go-Ahead will continue to assess the potential impact of the incident but confirm that there is no impact on the normal operation of UK or international rail services,” the spokesperson added.

The company notified the Information Commissioner’s Office “as a precautionary measure”.
