Brighton celebrity hairdresser supports fundraising hairdressers

Hairdressers across Brighton have joined forces to raise awareness of a charity for those in mourning.

A number of barbers and hairdressers will be asking customers to donate in support of Project Eileen, which supports teenagers dealing with grief and loss.

The charity, which is supported by famed hairstylist Andrew Barton, is asking customers to donate as much as they can if they get their hair cut.

Barton said: “As a hairdresser, there are a lot of face-to-face interactions with clients in the salon.

“I know I can speak for hairdressers in general that we are not trained to handle grief conversations and this is a common conversation as it affects us all throughout our lives.

“I hope that my role as Patron of Project Eileen will bring more awareness to the discussion in salons and beyond.” Project Eileen provides high school students with lessons in dealing with grief and loss.

The event will take place from Friday 21st October and Saturday 22nd October. Brighton celebrity hairdresser supports fundraising hairdressers
