Albion have announced the signing of Levi Colwill for a season from Chelsea.
He arrives at the Amex while Marc Cucurella goes the other way with a record-breaking deal.
Head coach Graham Potter said: “Levi has enormous potential and has already demonstrated his ability in the Championship and with England at various age groups all the way through to the Under-21s last season.
“I’m really looking forward to working with him on the training ground and in games throughout the season.
“He mainly plays in central defence, but has also played as a full-back on the left side and is a sure-footed player.”
Cucurella has signed a six-year contract with Chelsea and should now be available for the Premier League opener at Everton.
