A GROUP of Brighton fans enjoyed the first home game of the season in style after winning a competition hosted by The Argus.
The competition gave fans and their guests the opportunity to experience the game from the American Express Lounge, which included a private balcony and pre-game food and beverages.
The 10 winners and their guests had a fantastic experience cheering on the Seagulls in a thrilling 0-0 draw with Newcastle.
American Express Vice President Nikki Edelman said: “We’re excited to see what the season will bring and wish the club the best of luck.”
Brighton contested a hard-fought draw with Newcastle in which they were unlucky not to take all three points.
Albion provided everything throughout the game but the final finish as Solly March and Adam Lallana both cleared attempts off the line.
Fans and players alike couldn’t believe they hadn’t walked away with the win as they had to contend with fantastic saves from new Magpies goalkeeper Nick Pope.
The draw is the only point dropped from Brighton’s tally this season as the side find themselves in the Europa League after three games.
