Brighton fans left distressed after the goalless draw against Nottingham

Albion fans were left disappointed after a goalless draw against Nottingham Forest at the Amex.

Fans filled the stadium hoping to see a first home win or even a home goal since Roberto De Zerbi took over the reins of the club in September.

However, the team failed to make the most of almost 90 minutes of dominance against Forest, who is currently 19th in the Premier League, as the Seagulls were left suffering after an attempt by Leandro Trossard hit the bar.

Pascal Gross was also denied a late goal by Forest goalkeeper Dean Henderson before frustrated Albion fans cheered the stalemate after the final whistle.

De Zerbi admitted his side needed a bigger offensive threat after three games without a goal.

He said: “I thank the players because they played a fantastic game.

“I’m sorry for the result because in four games just two points isn’t too much.”

He also said he knew a rapid increase in results was needed.

“I don’t want to talk too much about bad luck or unfair results or things like that – I want to talk about the improvement that we need to make very quickly,” he said.
