FOUR men have been charged with drug trafficking after police found 400 packs of heroin and crack cocaine.
Daniel Hajiabol Ghasemi, 36, of Brighton, has been charged with concern over the supply of Class A drugs.
Three Portsmouth men – Steven Tunbridge, 28, Shaun Harper, 30, and Reggie Gwyer, 21 – have also been charged.
It comes after concerns were raised by residents around Gloucester Road in Brighton, prompting increased patrols in the area.
On Wednesday, September 7, officers arrested a man linked to drug trafficking in the area.
An address was then searched and between 200 and 400 packs of heroin and crack cocaine and large amounts of cash were found.
Detective Sergeant Chris Lane, of the Brighton and Hove Municipality investigation team, said: “These four charges are a good example of community intelligence leading to proactive police intervention, removing a large quantity of harmful substances from the road and taking several people into custody .
“The public is our eyes and ears, and it’s important that local residents report any concerns to us so we can investigate and respond.”
