Brighton moved to Forest Green in the Carabao Cup

They were drawn to the League One team in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

It will be the first clash between the clubs in the league or one of the two senior cups.

Their first teams have played each other once, back in the Football League Trophy in 2003 when Leon Knight and 16-year-old Jake Robinson scored to give Albion a 2-0 win at Withdean.

Albion’s Under-21s drew 2-2 at Forest Green in the same competition last season, with Brad Miller and Lorent Tolaj scoring for the Seagulls.

The tie will be played in the week beginning August 22nd.

That could mean Albion head to the Gloucestershire venue on Wednesday as they play West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday, August 21.

But the actual date of the game has yet to be confirmed.
