Brighton Palace Pier to broadcast the Queen’s funeral live

BRIGHTON Palace Pier has announced it will be showing the Queen’s funeral on Monday.

Worship at Westminster Abbey is at 11am, but set-up begins at 6:30am and BBC coverage of the event begins at 8am.

The communion service at St George’s Chapel will also be broadcast.

Palace Pier will remain open on the holiday and will broadcast the funeral service at Horatio’s Bar.

It is one of the few venues in Sussex that will be publicly showing the occasion.

Hastings City Council has arranged a screening to be shown on a big screen in Alexandra Park.

It begins at 10 a.m., one hour before the funeral begins, and shuts down after the funeral is over.

The Picturedrome Cinema in Bognor also shows the funeral.

Adam Cunard, the managing director, said on the website: “Tickets are limited and available free of charge at the box office.

“Doors will open at 10am and you are most welcome to join us.” Brighton Palace Pier to broadcast the Queen’s funeral live
