Brighton shows solidarity with Ukraine using yellow and blue third kit

Brighton will wear the club’s yellow and blue third kit on Saturday to show solidarity with Ukraine in the wake of Russia’s invasion.

Mr Seagulls will also donate all profits from the future sale of the ribbon – in the same colors as the Ukrainian flag – to the British Red Cross on the Ukraine Crisis.

Albion’s men’s team will wear a turquoise change kit for their Premier League game at Newcastle, while the women’s team will wear the club’s blue and white home kit for their WSL trip. they went to Aston Villa.

Brighton chief executive Paul Barber told his club’s website: “Like so many people around the world, everyone at our club was appalled by the invasion. of Ukraine and we add our voice to many calls for peace.

“We also want to show our full support to the Ukrainian people, and all the innocent people who are suffering from this terrible conflict, especially the many children.

“As a club, and on behalf of our players, staff and supporters, we would also like to acknowledge and pay respects to the many humanitarian efforts to reduce alleviate suffering in the region.”
