Brighton welcomes mod culture for the bank holiday weekend

MOD CULTURE has come to Brighton with gleaming scooters lining the seafront.

As is tradition on the August bank holiday, the mods flock to town to show off their machines and fancy outfits.

Hundreds parked on Madeira Drive and many passers-by stopped to admire the polished mirrors, headlights and paintwork.

The scenes take place ahead of this weekend’s Brighton Mod Weekender, which includes a range of events paying tribute to the culture.

The event, which has been running since 2004, includes club nights and group bike tours, among other things.

The three-day celebration includes free entry to street events, as well as tickets to nights at Komedia and Patterns.

The weekender runs from today, Friday, to Sunday, August 28th.
