Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister enjoys penalty service

Alexis Mac Allister has revealed he has penalty shootout competition.

Albion No 10 have already scored three penalties this season, at least two more than anyone else in the Premier League.

In total, he has scored four goals this season.

Mac Allister took on Leicester on Sunday in a bid to convert just after a spectacular strike was ruled out by a narrow VAR offside call.

He revealed: “Enock Mwepu wanted to take the penalty but I’m first on the list so I’m sorry Enock but I had to take it!

“I’m really glad they put that trust in me.”

Mac Allister has converted four penalties since seeing a save at Wolves late last season.

He has generally aimed near the post but this time went in the middle when Foxes keeper Danny Ward fell to his right.

The Argentina midfielder told BBC Radio Sussex: “I saw the goalkeeper and I knew I was going to go in the middle so really nice to score.” Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister enjoys penalty service
