Brighton’s Moises Caiceo enjoys association with Alexis Mac Allister

Moises Caicedo is enjoying his connection in the Latin American midfield.

The Ecuador international has built an impressive brace with Alexis Mac Allister.

Caicedo stepped forward to help score the winning goal against Leeds while his pal from Argentina held the line.

Caicedo said: “I feel very comfortable with him because we speak the same language.

“I feel very well. He always guides me and I guide him.”

The two come from opposite ends of their continent, but Caicedo said, “That doesn’t change anything.

“We get along very well on the pitch and that’s important.

“Now we are teammates and work together perfectly.

“If I attack, he stays, or if he attacks, I stay.

“There is always very good communication.”

Caicedo stressed the importance of Albion’s steely defensive record to their flying start to the season.

He enjoyed a third straight clean sheet and said: “Very tough as all games are. We managed well.

“We had moments where they took the ball from us, but we were very strong at the back and that’s very important.”

Caicedo insisted there wasn’t much concern as the Seagulls reached halftime evenly.

He added: “No, we knew that not all games are created equal. Some are more difficult than others.

“The most important thing is to keep it zero at the back and stay strong. Brighton’s Moises Caiceo enjoys association with Alexis Mac Allister
