Brighton’s Pixie Polite opens up about relationship with Tia Kofi

DRAG Race UK contestant Pixie Polite has spoken openly about issues after a relationship with another drag queen ended.

Brighton’s Pixie revealed her five-year relationship with Tia Kofi, who starred in series two of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and appeared in the line-up for this year’s Brighton Pride.

However, Pixie admitted in the show’s final episode: “Due to mistakes I’ve made, we’re not together anymore.

“I haven’t processed a lot yet. We didn’t live together anymore, didn’t work together anymore, had the same friends – being apart from that was really difficult.

“I’ve had some really dark times this year.”

Pixie was comforted by fellow contestant Danny Beard – the first drag race queen to appear on the show with facial hair after they were paired for this week’s challenge.

“Me and Tia are still very close and it’s hard to be here and know that after everything we’ve been through, she’s home and she truly is my biggest cheerleader,” Pixie said.

“I feel a lot of pressure on myself to make her proud.”

Both Pixie Polite and Sussex Queen Dakota Schiffer survived another week on the show as the remaining ten contestants put their sewing skills to the test.

The drag queens were paired to create high fashion looks for a “night at bingo,” with Horsham drag queen Dakota Schiffer paired with fellow contestant Baby.

Entrants were each assigned different colored boxes of new and vintage fabrics to create complementary looks, with Pixie given a box of purple items for the challenge and Dakota given the color black to work with.

Pixie also gave Danny emotional support as the couple finished their makeup for the runway after Danny confessed to missing his partner Joe for ten years.

“He really is my rock. I couldn’t do this job without him,” Danny said.

In this week’s episode, Cheltenham’s drag queen Copper Topp was eliminated from the competition after she lost a lip sync with Black Peppa to the song ‘This Is Real’ by Jax Jones and Ella Henderson, who were among the acts to headline Brighton Pride this summer .
