ALBION chairman Tony Bloom is “very disappointed” that Graham Potter is leaving for Chelsea.

The move became official at 3.45pm with Potter joined by Billy Reid, Bjorn Hamberg, Kyle Macaulay, Bruno and Ben Roberts.

Potter was announced as a favorite yesterday morning after Thomas Tuchel was sacked by owner Ted Boahly.

Bloom described Potter as an “extraordinary” head coach and a person who will be “greatly missed”.

Tony Bloom said: “I am very disappointed that Graham is leaving us. He’s done exceptionally well over the past three and a half years, he’s an exceptional head coach and an exceptional person.

“He will be missed a lot by our football club.

“He leaves his successor with an excellent legacy with the club in their highest ever position and having guided us to our highest result in club history last season.

“I would like to thank Graham, Billy, Bjorn, Bruno, Ben and Kyle for their work here and wish them all the best in the future.

“While we are now focused on appointing Graham’s replacement as head coach, our immediate focus is of course on Saturday’s game in Bournemouth and supporting Andrew Crofts as interim head coach.” Brighton’s Tony Bloom disappointed with Potter’s departure to Chelsea
