Oly Rush, from Poole, Dorset, completed the 60-mile circumnavigation of the Caribbean island in just under 37 hours and swam once in shark-infested waters

A British plasterer has survived 60 miles in shark-infested waters to become the first person to swim around Grand Cayman.
Eco-warrior Oly Rush, 37, circumnavigated the Caribbean island in just under 37 hours.
He was later hospitalized with dehydration.
Oly, from Poole, Dorset, said: “I got around but it was absolutely brutal.
“It was so difficult and we took the shark threat very seriously.”
He has teamed up with Plastic Free Cayman and Project Planet for endurance swimming which has so far raised more than £18,000 to help tackle marine pollution.
Oly said: “It took me to some dark places but I never wanted to stop because the environment motivated me so much.”
Last year, Oly broke the 65-mile record around the Isle of Wight but said Cayman is much more difficult.
