BGT: Sheffield’s troubadour stunned the audience with her beautiful voice
Britain’s Got Talent viewers are confident that a troubadour who has spent 10 years on the street will win this year’s series of events.
Maxwell Thorpe has been performing in public in Sheffield for a decade, but got his biggest performance to date with an audition on the ITV show.
Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams were completely blown away by Maxwell’s vocals and gave him a standing ovation when his audition ended.

After watching on Saturday night, many viewers at home were quick to predict that Maxwell would win this year’s talent show.
“Maxwell will be the winner!! Call it #BGT now,” one person posted.
Another viewer tweeted: “WOW I wasn’t expecting it…. He’s absolutely amazing Maxwell. YOU are the winner of #BGT WOW!!”
A third posted: “This guy can win this year, unbelievable. #BGT,” and a fourth added: “You see yellow bell crap.”

Another tweeted: “Golden buzzer action deserves it right there. Promising in the park for him. #BGT,” while others were quick to compare Maxwell to first-time BGT winner Paul Potts.
“A Paul Potts moment, his voice is amazing.. #BGT,” one person tweeted.
Another added: “A bit of a Paul Potts moment. He’s clearly trained. #BGT.”
Britain’s Got Talent continues next Saturday on ITV from 8pm.
