Saturday Night Takeaway fans who watched Britain’s Got Talent episodes last week may have spotted a familiar face.

The ITV talent competition returned after two years due to the pandemic with many incredible acts including Titan The Robot entertaining the judges with a comedy routine.

The silver giant splashed water on Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alisha Dixon and David Walliams, while also toasting Simon in a hilarious routine.

This wasn’t the first time Titan has appeared on the small screen, however, and he has previously collaborated with BGT presenters Ant & Dec.

Titan was featured in an episode of the couple’s Saturday Night Takeaway, also on ITV, in March 2020, appearing alongside Stephen Mulhern, who dressed up as a robot.

At a staggering 8ft tall, Titan entertained festival goers at Glastonbury in 2004 and 2014.

He has also shared the stage with celebrities such as Rihanna and Will Smith, and has also appeared at the Shanghai Chinese Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Sochi Winter Olympics and the Commonwealth Games, reports The Sun.

This is coming to BGT and was thrown into a tight line after singer Loren Allred claimed Amanda Holden’s Golden Buzzer.

Loren is the lead singer of Never Enough, the smash hit movie The Greatest Showman, starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya.

The Greatest Showman was a smash hit worldwide, and while Loren doesn’t appear in the film, she did provide the vocals for the hit’s iconic performance, with the role played by actress Rebecca Ferguson, who appears as opera singer Jenny Lind.

Fans of the ITV talent show took to Twitter to vent their frustration as Amanda squeezed her golden buzzer.

“Wait… This woman is the actual singer who never sang enough of the greatest showman. That’s cheating… That’s unfair… #BGT‘ one wrote, while another added: ‘What a bloody solution!!! Gold Button S****.”

A second shared: “I thought #BGTShe was all about discovering new talent?! What a solution!”

While a third wrote: “How is that even fair sorry??? Amanda just said it’s her moment to shine, Amanda, she’s already sung a song for a huge musical film. This is seriously not fair #BGT.”

There were shocked faces from the judges when Loren revealed her true identity, stating that she was “more comfortable singing behind the scenes”.

“I feel like the song was meant for me, and I’m ready to give the song a face, so I’m here to do that,” she said as she dived into a beautiful rendition of the hit from The broke loose film musical.

BGT defended the singer in a statement, telling Metro that Loren “isn’t a household name and she deserves her place on the BGT stage.”

A rep added, “It’s fantastic that Loren can now step out and stand for himself to be the face and not just the voice of one of the most iconic tracks of all time.”
